The 10 Unassailable Rules Of Packaging
10 - Wrapping in tissue or bubble wrap with tons of tape costs time and money. You wrapping and us trying to unwrap. And it often can't be reused.
9 - Unwrapped parts in 1 or 2 boxes become wrapped parts in 3 or 4 after plating. Te volume grows with the packaging. Leave us some room!
8 - Egg crates / Divided Cartons / Individual Boxes / Reusable Packaging are all cost saving options. Easy in, easy out, and prevent damage.
7 - Plastic bags cause rejects! Bagging after plating can trap moisture or heat. Parts need to breathe! Especially in the summer months.
6 - The packaging the parts came to us in can't always be used again.
6.1 - If the parts are greasy and gross, the packaging is too.
5 - Beer boxes make for a great time, they do not make great packaging.
4 - Parts sent wrapped but not in boxes get damaged more often. A mixed lot that comes out of the trunk of your car has to move around the shop in something!
3 - The UPS guy is in fact out to get you.
2 - Packaging should be a part of our quotes. Time, money and materials on both ends.
1 - Our policy is to repack jobs the way we received them with no metal to metal. How did they get to us?
